Model portfolio shoot
I started out as a model before working as a model photographer for a model management agency, so I know what types of shots to take and I give great directions on how to pose. The first and most important pictures in a portfolio are the head shots; those are what I do best.
You also need side profiles, full length, and half body shots. A variety of looks or different types of outfits is also necessary. Getting your pictures taken by several different photographers will also give your portfolio more diversity. Whether you are trying to get a portfolio started or if you just need to update your portfolio, call or text me at 281-658-1240 today for an appointment either at the studio or at your home.
Clients:
Several of the male and female aspiring models I’ve photographed have gone on to sign model contracts with major agencies and one has now starred in several movies and has done a television commercial. Call me today to get a portfolio started or to update your existing portfolio. I can help you with your comp cards, too.
Industry:
The modeling industry has very strict standards. If you have your pictures taken by just any random photographer or an amateur photographer who works for a model agency, you can easily wind up paying way too much money and then have to pay to take them all over again with a different photographer who actually has experience shooting model portfolios.
Clothing:
Be sure to wear solid colors. Darker colors work best. Avoid loud, distracting patterns or prints, labels, logos, and words. Wear clothes that fit you well and that are not baggy. Try to be current; wearing clothes that are out of style will make your portfolio look dated. Be sure to bring shoes to match each outfit.
Advice:
If you are just now trying to get into the industry, I can also give you some very helpful advice that could save you thousands of dollars or help you prevent a big mistake. In addition, let me know if you need advice on getting into acting.
Pose:
Not sure how to pose? Not a problem. I am accustomed to patiently explaining how to pose for the camera. There are a variety of types of model pictures to take. Although I specialize in model head shots, I also provide the following types of shots: casual, fashion, swimwear, editorial, commercial/promotional, fitness, and runway.
